This was my first visit to Hawaii and I wanted to see and do all I could. We took the Road to Hana tour based upon a recommendation. Our guide was very interesting and informative. We were able to view many areas that we never would have seen had we taken the tour on our own. The last hour is a bit bumpy and after approximately 10 hours you are ready to exit the tour bus for good. But, I would highly recommend everyone give it a try if you really want to see some of the beauty and splendor of our 50th state. Aloha!!! (Posted on 4/19/12)

Dennis was our guide on this tour and he did a great job. He has a very warm, friendly personality. Doing an initial tour like this when you are not acquainted with what the island has to offer is really essential. You learn so much about the culture and the best spots to visit. You could drive and follow a map but it would be somewhat stressful and all of your party would not be able to enjoy the trip. Eyes really need to be kept on the road. We stopped at some of the local stands which was very fun. The road is very crooked - something like 617 curves in the trip. Now that we have taken the tour next year we will drive ourselves and spend more time in some of the areas. Some breath taking scenery.
