My guide was a friendly fellow (whose name I wish I could recall) and the hike itself was lush and beautiful. While a guided tour isn't wholly necessary for travelers with vehicles to reach the falls themselves, it certainly enriches the experience from an educational standpoint, with interesting learnings regarding Hawaiian topography, history, plant and animal life, and more. The convenience of being picked up and dropped off directly from my hotel was also a plus. Wonderful experience. (Posted on 10/7/12)

This was a great experience. More of a hike than what I was expecting based on the information provided on the website as this wasnt just on a dirt road, it was a hike up a mountain. Some people brought children which I am not sure is the right hike for them. Still... it was beautiful and I am glad for the experience. (Posted on 8/30/12)

My husband and I had an interesting hike to the waterfall with our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about Oahu history, plants, and heritage. Without a guided tour we would not have taken the time to realize all that we had around us. (Posted on 5/22/12)

This was a wonderful way to see the forest and a beautiful waterfall. Come prepared for a moderate hike and some mud. Our guide was very knowledgable and introduced us to a lot of fascinating information on this short trip. (In our case, he was very accomodating as well, since we moved a little too slow sometimes.) This really made our trip to Hawaii! It was the view my girlfriend had in her mind of a waterfall in a jungle.... that was her fantasy and this hike gave it to her. (Posted on 3/23/12)

The hike is definitely more difficult than I thought it would be. Our guide was very good at making it safe but at the same time i'm really glad that we did the morning hike as when we were coming down the trail was getting even more muddy and less passible. I know that my family would never have made it up to the falls if we had done the afternoon hike. Do not wear good clothes or shoes on the hike. They will get ruined and muddy. As a side note. Bring a spare set of clothes with you if you plan on doing anything else after your hike. (Posted on 2/29/12)
