Established over seventy years ago, the Honolulu Academy of Arts is dedicated to engage and enrich the lives of the citizens and community of Honolulu. The museum houses approximately 34,000 pieces of art from Western and Asian cultures. Besides the 30 galleries, the Academy offers special exhibits, educational programs, collections, publications, studio art classes, and theater activities.

Directions:

From Waikiki Take Kalakaua out of Waikiki toward the mountain. Turn left onto Beretania. It will be located on the right about a ½ mile after you cross Pensacola St.

  • Open 10am - 4:30pm on Tuesday through Saturday; 1pm - 5pm on Sunday and Closed: Mondays
  • Admission for Gallery Showings - $5 ($3 for seniors and students)
  • Parking available on the street
  • Café serves lunch 11am - 2pm on Tuesday through Saturday
