The 1.1 million-square-foot Hawaii Convention Center is located on 10 acres at the edge of Waikiki. It features a 200,000 square-foot ground level exhibit hall, 800 parking stalls, a 2.5 acre rooftop garden, and 140,000 square feet of meeting and ballroom space. The Center is open to the outdoors, inviting the scent of flowers inside. Native Hawaiian plants are in abundance. Landscaped grounds, terraces, lanais, and courtyards account for more than six of the ten acre site.
This bronze statue fronting the Hawaii Convention Center symbolically acknowledges the Hawaiian people for their generosity and expressions of goodwill to newcomers.

Inside, paintings of volcanoes, mountains, ocean, waterfalls, taro, and fishponds are displayed alongside images of Hawaiian royalty, gods, and myths. While above, soaring rooftop canopies recall images of Polynesian sailing canoes
