This trail includes crossing Round Top Drive twice, but the hiker is awarded with an outstanding mile of forest hiking.

Directions:

From Waikiki: Take Kalakaua Avenue out of Waikiki toward the mountains. Turn right onto King Street. At the first light turn left onto Punahou. Continue on Punahou and turn left onto Nehoa. Turn right onto Makiki Hights Drive. The road will deadend. Turn right onto Tantalus Drive (Round the Top). Turn right in the Puu Ualakaa Park. Follow the signs to the trail.

Always bring water, basic first aid kit and rain gear, just in case.
