Unbelivable views overlooking the North shore and valleys in the distance make this trip a must see. Listen for the harmonious White-rumped Shama birds.

Directions:

Take H1 west bound. Get off at the Likilike exit and go through the mountains. Take Kahekili Highway west toward Laie. A few miles past Kahana Bay, turn left onto Hauula Homestead Road. Turn right onto Maakua Homestead Road which will lead you the the trail head.

Safety Tips for Hiking:
  • Inform a friend of your route and your expected time of return.
  • Never hike alone or go beyond your capability
  • Always bring water, basic first aid kit and rain gear, just in case.
  • Do not drink stream water which contains biological impurities
  • STAY ON THE TRAIL.
