Spectacular 2000 foot jagged cliffs tower above as you walk into the lush Koolau mountains that rise above Kaneohe Bay. We visit a picturesque rainforest waterfall and enjoy Hawaiis unique rainforest plants and birds....

Observe Hawaiis rainforest plants and birds as we walk into the lush Koolau mountains that rise above Kaneohe. Visit a secluded waterfall that spills into a rainforest pool.

On this educational and fun hike you will learn about the Hawaiians use of various plant species and the area's interesting environmental history.

*Tours with this designation involve moderate physical activity such as walking over uneven / unpaved surfaces, dirt roads and roots, climbing stairs or mildly steep terrain.

Participants: This tour is not recommended for guests with walking difficulties or for children under the age of five years old.

Pickup from the Waikiki Hotels at 8:00am and return at 12:30pm or*
Pickup from the Waikiki Hotels at 2:00pm and return at 6:30pm
*Please note that ON SUNDAYS this tour is only available for the afternoon departure time.

*(If you are staying outside of Waikiki, (Ihilani, Ko'olina or the Turtle Bay Resort, etc.) and coming to town by rental car we recommend that you meet us at the Ala Moana hotel (410 Atkinson Drive) where there is ample parking for you across from the hotel in the shopping center's parking lot.

Is this a good tour for children?
All of our hiking adventures are suitable for children 5 years or older.

What are the trail conditions like?
It is a well-maintained dirt road in the rainforest but occasionally (after heavy rains in the mountains), it can be a bit slippery, so always watch your footing. The elevation gain is about 300 feet (streched out over the whole lenght of the trail)
