The Foster Botanical Garden opened to the public in 1931. It was bequeathed to the City of Honolulu by Mrs. Mary Foster at the time of her death. This 13.5-acre garden is a living museum of exotic plants and trees collected over a period of 140 years from around the world's tropics. From orchids to the cigar box tree from the Amazon, this beautiful garden is a restful and educational experience.
Specialty Gardens include the Palm Collection, Orchid Gardens, Prehistoric Glen, and Exceptional Trees. This botanical garden is a favorite place for weddings and photo shoots.
Directions:
Take H-1 West from downtown Honolulu. Exit at Vineyard Boulevard. Continue on Vineyard Boulevard until you see Foster Botanical Garden on the right.

Admission - Adults $5 (13 years and older); Children $1 (6-12 years); Young Children - FREE (5 years and younger)
Guided tours offered at 1pm, Monday through Friday
Other tours may be arranged, Call 808-522-7066
Open 9am - 4pm daily (closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1)

Never put any plant or plant part in your mouth - some plants are poisonous and/or may cause adverse reactions
Walking shoes recommended. You may encounter slippery surfaces, loose rocks, falling branches, thorny plants, and exposed roots.
Picking/gathering of fruits, flowers, seeds and other plants is prohibited
