What to Expect
Take a 45 minute walk up to the 760-foot summit of beautiful Diamond Head crater, bringing to life what you normally see on postcards. Beautiful 360-degree views await you from the top, while along the way you can learn about the craters geology, history, archeology, flora and fauna from your experienced guide.
Throughout the three-hour tour, you'll learn about the volcanic creation, Hawaiian history, European discovery, early cattle ranching, and modern day military use of the iconic peak. The group will stop at many different spots to rest and give you opportunities to take pictures. Walking up stairways, going into a dark 200 foot tunnel and climbing a spiral staircase are just some of the things you can expect. You will also learn important facts about Hawaii's native bird and plant species and will be presented with a Certificate of Achievement that states that you successfully made it to the famous summit of Diamond Head Crater.
