85-037 Waianae Valley Road
Hawaiiain for "Night of the Supreme One", this beach is named after the legendary Hawaiian chief, Poka'i, who reportedly brought the first coconut palm tree to Hawaii. This West Shore beach area is well protected even during the winter months when other areas are experiencing high surf. As with all west coast beaches, it has a gently sloping coral reef making it great for swimming year round. The beach area is sandy with shady areas nearby.
