| Kamehameha Highway, La'ie |
| With it's calm, green water, large sandy beach, offshore island, and tall windswept trees, the area preserves the tropical beauty and serenity of ancient times. Beachcombing, swimming, body boarding, and snorkeling are popular activities along this North Shore haven. Green sea turtles are often seen along this coastline and Goat Island, just offshore, is a protected seabird sanctuary. A 37-acre, gated recreation area borders the beach and provides tent camping sites, rustic cabins and a large pavilion to rent. Advanced reservations must be made to use these facilities. | |
