Kamehameha Highway, North Shore
Located just east of Sunset Beach, this rocky and sandy beach is almost as popular. Great reefs and tidepools make this area an excellent site to snorkel, wade and scuba dive during the summer months when the ocean is calmer. Sunsets during the summer are also exceptional along this coastline.
Services and Amenities
  • No lifeguards
  • No facilities
  • Poor swimming
  • Tidepools
  • Great snorkeling and scuba diving during the summer
  • Dangerous waves during the winter
Cautions:
During the winter waves can reach 40-50 foot on the north shore. They pound the rocks and reefs along this coast. If you suspect large surf, DO NOT venture into the water. NEVER turn your back to the ocean. The waves are constantly changing and you can never predict their next move.
