The Alexander & Baldwin Sugar Museum provides education about the early years of plantation life and how and why various cultures immigrated to Hawaii. The museum itself was once the home of a "luna" (supervisor) who was responsible for overseeing the plantation workers. Many cultures immigrated to Hawaii to work on the plantation making Hawaii the melting pot it is today.
Directions:
Take Highway 350 south from Kahului Harbor. Turn left on Hansen Road. Sugar Mill Museum is on the right.
