Four beaches along Makena Road surround this beautiful south shore bay and are often referred to as Makena Beach but may actually be Maluaka Bay and Beach, Big Beach, and Po'olenalena Beach. Makena Landing Beach Park is the first beach located along Makena Road. The beach was hit by a storm in 1999 and the runoff caused unusually cloudy water conditions which killed the coral reef in this area.

There are no lifeguards or facilities at this location. The shoreline is mostly rocky with little sand.

Directions:

From Wailea go south on Wailea Alanui Road. This road becomes Makena Alanui Road after crossing Kuakahi. Approximately 2 miles down the road, turn right on Makena Road. The Landing is less than 1/2 mile down this road on the right.
