Hana Highway, Maui
Across from the parking lot os Puaa Kaa State Park is a short path that leads to very accessible waterfalls and swimming holes. This is a great area to picnic and swim as few beaches are safe for swimming on this side of the island. A larger and more dependable waterfall can be reached by the trail that leads along the side of the upper fall. Follow the trail to the top of this fall, continue for 5-10 minutes through the mud to a diversion ditch, then walk on the viaduct for about 100 feet to reach another untapped waterfall and pool.
