Kahekili Highway, West Maui
A refreshing site on this dry side of the island, the beauty of Lower Makamakaole Falls can easily be seen from the highway. Etching it's way through the rocky terrain, this waterall is a natural distraction along this one-lane stretch of highway.
Directions:
Take Highway 340 northwest from Kahului. The road narrows to one-lane and is known as Kahekili Highway. This waterfall is located just past Mile Marker #8.
Useful Information:
Easily seen from the highway. Use extreme caution when stopping to view this waterfall as this is a one-lane road. Carefully pull off and on the road.
