This Protestant cemetery plot is located on the north
side of the Catholic cemetery on Waine'e Street. It is
the final resting place of whaler's who passed away on
their ships or died at the nearby Seamen's Hospital.
For many years the graves and cemetery were not maintained.
In the late 1970's, a group of children from Sacred Heart
School, along with their teachers, cleared the cemetery.
Today it is maintained by the city and volunteers.
