This lovely waterfall is located right under the highway
bridge with an easy walk to the falls. It is a great place
to take a photo of you standing under the falls as the it
is not too high so the risk of being pounded by water or
debris is very minimal. The water here constantly
flows and is not dependent on seasonal rains as many of
the waterfalls in the area are. Past the falls on the right
side of the highway is the Blessed Mother Shrine. The statue
and shrine is located in the remnant of an old lava tube
and was built here by a local priest.
Useful Information:
Do not stop on the bridge - park at the pullout beyond
the bridge on the right
Use caution when crossing the highway to reach the trail
down to the waterfall
Wear sturdy shoes on the trail as it can be slippery
Bring insect repelle
DIRECTIONS: Located past Hana on Highway 31 just before Mile Marker
#43. Cross the bridge and park at the small pullout on
the right side of the road. Walk across the road to the
path near the huge tree that leads the short distance
to the falls.
