Humpback whales arrive in Hawaii over a six-month period
with the best viewing months from mid-December through
mid-April. Females conceive and birth their young in the
warm waters here. The baby calf stretches about 12 feet
and weighs two tons! The lighthouse on McGregor Point
is actually a light beacon warning ships of the rocky
coastline and reefs in the area.
