Another picturesque waterfall and pool on the Road to
Hana! There is a larger fall upstream but the hike is slippery,
even on dry days, and probably not worth the risk.
Useful Information:
Short trail on the far side of the
bridge leads to the falls and pool
Small roadside turnout parking
Upstream there is a second falls but
the trail is slippery and dangerous
Do not stand under the waterfall due
to possible falling rocks or debris
CAUTION: As with all fresh water streams
in Hawaii, there is the chance of Leptospirosis bacteria
- do not drink or swallow the water, keep water out
of open cuts and eyes
Looking at the falls from the left side.
This picture shows how close this waterfall
is to the road where the bridge is seen.
DIRECTIONS: Located ½ mile past the 11 mile marker on the Road
to Hana - past Garden of Eden and before Kaumahina State
Wayside Park.
