Downtown Lahaina
This temple is a shocase of Hawaii's Janpanese-American
community roots. The original mission dates back to 1910
when a small school and temple were built here. One of
the feature attractions at this temple is the annual O-Bon
Dance held in August. This celebration of life and death
- the past and the present. Thousands of candles glowing
in the summer night, along with the rythmic sounds of
drums is something to experience.
