South Maui

This beach is lesser known and less crowded than others. Snorkeling around the rocky point is excellent most of the time. Swimming is good with a very sandy bottom and gently sloping bottom.

DIRECTIONS:
Take Wailea Alauni south of Wailea. Approximatley 1 ½ miles from the intersection of Wailea Iki, turn right on to Kuakahi. Go to the end of the road and turn left on Makena Road. Palauea Beach if the first beach access on the right.
