Palaoa
Point Sea Arch
|
 |
| |
South Lanai
This sea arch, located at Palaoa
Point, is one of many along the coastlines
of the Hawaiian Islands. Formed by lava flowing
into the ocean and cooling quickly, the rock formation
may be unstable. After a few years or thousands
of years, some of the rock collapses creating a
sea arch.
|
|
|
| |
Due to the very nature of the sea
arch, it is unstable and no one should ever attempt
to walk on the arch. Further collapse may be imminent.
The results could be deadly.
