Hotel Lanai

Lanai Avenue, downtown Lanai
808-565-7211 or
1-800-795-7211

Hotel Lanai was built in 1923 by James Dole to house the Dole Plantation executives. It was the only hotel on the island until 1990 when the Lodge at Koele and the Manele Bay Hotel were built. This quaint hotel reflects the Hawaii of old with only 11 comfortably-appointed rooms, some even have their own lanai (porch).

Hotel Lanai is located in downtown Lanai just off Dole Park and nestled in between tall Cooke Pines. It is within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. The hotel itself has its own restaurant, Henry Clay's Rotisserie, that serves dinner from 5:30pm - 9pm daily. The hotel also provides a complementary continental breakfast for guests.

Useful Information:

  • Reservations are recommended.
  • Check in is 1pm. Check out is 11am.
  • The hotel will arrange shuttle service to and from the airport and the harbor with advance notice.
  • Inter-hotel shuttles operate between the 3 island hotels. Inquire at the desk for shuttle times.

DIRECTIONS:

From the airport, turn right on Highway 440 going toward Lanai City. As you enter the city, the road becomes Lanai Avenue. Hotel Lanai is located on the right side of the road just before Dole Park.

Hotel Lanai is nestled among towering Cook Pines and gently rolling green hills.

The hotel is reminiscent of a by-gone era with a simple, clean style and hominess.

A lovely wood-inlay plaque hangs over one of the two fireplaces that are located in the restaurant dining areas.
