Detailed Description
Wa'apa Road, Lihu'e, East Kauai
Stately cruise ships use this harbor as their port-of-call. It is located at the mouth of the Hule'ia Stream which creates a natural channel for the large ships. This harbor and nearby Niumalu Beach Park were pictured in the movie Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Directions:
From Highway 50, just past Mile Marker #1 going toward Lihu'e, turn right on Nawiliwili Road. Go approximately 2 miles down the road and turn right on Wa'apa. The harbor will be on the left.
Useful Information:
Major port for Kauai
Niumalu Beach is located to the west of the harbor
Kalapaki Beach is located to the east, in front of the Kauai Marriott
