Tent and trailer camping are allowed in this state park with appropriate permits. The park is over 4,000 acres and has numerous hikes and scenic sites. Koke'e Museum, where the Ranger Station is located, has maps and infomation about this dramatic area surrounding the Waimea Canyon and Alakai Swamp.

  • Permit is required for camping - call the Department of Parks and Recreation at 808-261-6660 for information and application
  • Hiking trails, scenic views and many other recreational opportunities available
  • Restrooms, picnic tables and pavilions, grills and restaurant nearby
 

DIRECTIONS:
Take Highway 50 west from Hanapepe toward Waimea. Just past Mile Marker #23 turn right on Waimea Canyon Road. The Koke'e Campground, Lodge and Museum are located approximately 15 1/2 miles down the road.
