Highway 50
South Kauai
This tiny town located off Highway 50 started off
as 178-acres of land leased by Duncan McBryde from
King Kamehameha III in 1860. After the death of
Duncan, his son, Walter, purchsed the land and set
aside a large portion for homesteading. In 1929
a golf course was built here and today is one of
the nicest private courses on the island, Kukulolono
Park and Golf Course.
