This island is a veritable paradise of beaches - from sandy horeshoe shaped coves to rocky reefs to "hot tub" tidepools. There is 112 miles of coastline with approximately 130 different beaches, each one with its own special intrigue. Listed here are just a few of the more popular and unusual places to swim, surf, bodyboard, snorkel, dive, and relax. Most of these beaches listed here have lifeguards, picnic areas and bath houses.
