This lovely sandy beach is located just south of Kawaihae Harbor. The beach is protected by a large reef and the breakwater of the harbor. The water is usually calm enough for the entire family to enjoy swimming here. The water is slightly cloudy, however, due to the proximity of the harbor.
Large areas of grass and shade are perfect for a family outing. Lifeguards are on duty daily.

DIRECTIONS:
Take Highway 19 north to Highway 270. Continue north on 270. Turn left at the access road between Mile Marker #2 and 3. Parking is available on the north and south ends of the beach.
