This 457-room hotel is located at the north end of Kailua-Kona
next to the Kailua
Pier. The hotel pays tribute to King Kamehameha
the Great.
In the lobby are numerous ancient Hawaiian
artifacts and a mural of the great King. On the grounds
is the historical 'Ahu'ena
Heiau and the burial platform of the King.
Luaus are held several times each week
on the grounds of the hotel. A pig is roasted in an imu
pit and served with traditional style.
