View of the beautiful, 2-story palace from the
corner of the grounds. Concerts are held here once a month
and are free to the public.

of the Hawaiian monarchy.

in 1838 and built for the second govorner of Hawaii, John
Kuakini.
The Pohaku Likanaka stone was an ancient method
of execution. A rope was passed through the hole and around
the prisoners neck. An executioner would then pull the rope
until the vicitim died of strangulation.
The Gift Shop is located to the left of
the Palace and is open daily.
