Don't let staying on the Big Island keep you from visiting Oahu's top attraction. A short flight is all that stands between you and a visit to the site of the attacks on Pearl Harbor.
Following a short flight from the Kona airport to Honolulu, our guide will lead you through the surprise bombing on the morning of December 7, 1941. Hear the actual speech given by President Roosevelt as you arrive at the beautiful Visitors Center for your day filled with history, traveling through many exhibits and museums.
Explore the Visitors Center before boarding the Navy operated ferry boat to the USS Arizona Memorial and the chance to pay respects to the soldiers who gave their lives. With the remembrance wall featuring the names of the soldiers, the black tears of the Arizona, and the ships turrets projecting from the water, the tragedy can be felt from all around while standing on the Memorial, which is built directly over the ships hull.
Returning to the Visitors Center, you will find yourself at the USS Bowfin Submarine. Known as the Pearl Harbor Avenger for the duty it performed after the attacks, a walking tour through the vessel provides a glimpse at how small the living quarters are for the soldiers stationed here, often for months at time.

First, walk the deck with an expert of the Mighty Mo for exciting stories and facts about the amazing war craft, spanning 50 years of American wars.
