Kalanian'ole Highway, Southeast O'ahu
Known as "The Peering Place", this cove is situated to the right of the Halona Blowhole. The rocky cove has a small sandy beach that is great for swimming when the surf is calm. This beach is probably best known as the site of the famous love scene between Burt Lancaster and Deborah Kerr in the 1953 movie, From Here to Eternity.

Difficult, rocky, somewhat steep hike down to beach
There are no lifeguards on duty here, so be extremely careful and DO NOT swim when the surf is rough. Strong currents possible outside of the protected cove area. Access to the beach is difficult, steep and rocky - wear sturdy shoes and use extreme caution. Rock hazards present in and around beach area.
