This small harbor is home to numerous sport fishing and
scuba dive boats. It one of the two major harbors on Hawaii.
The first ships to bring horses and cattle
to this island were docked here. Since then the harbor has
been dredged and enlarged to handle much larger craft.
Portions of the move "Waterworld"
was filmed here. Overlooking the harbor is Pu'ukohola, a
National Historical Site, built by King Kamehameha in 1790.
