This small harbor, located south of the Kona Airport, connects to the ocean via an artificial channel.

  
 
Deep sea fishing boats and sailboats can be chartered from this site. Two small beaches are located on either side of the harbor.
  
 
One access to the Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park is via a trail leading from the north parking lot of the harbor.

  DIRECTIONS:
Take Highway 19 north from Kona. Turn left on the gravel road between Mile Markers #97 and 98. This road leads directly to the harbor.
 
  The Harbor is maintained by the US Army Corp of Engineers.  
 
Great site for sailing, fishing, tours and charters.
  
  Private and charter boats use this docking facility.  
 
Check at the harbor house for information on boat rentals and fishing tours.
